High quality tough yarn for stern tube and pump applications
CHAMPION STERNFLON™ Style 2224 Marine Packing a non-asbestos packing for Marine Stern glands. It is manufactured from long life natural flax fibre yarn impregnated with PTFE and additional lubricant, specially blende for hydraulic applications.
- Very low coefficient of friction.
- Lubrication reduces friction and heat.
- PTFE impregnation fills gaps on the surface.
CHAMPION STERNFLON™ Style 2224 Marine Packing is recommended for rotary, reciprocating and static applications in pumps, ram presses, accumulators, in paper mills, pharmaceuticals and foodstuff, stern tubes and rudder post seals in marine and ship building and stern glands.
Compatible with media in the range pH 6-10. Suitable for use with hot and cold water, condensates and hydraulic fluids.
All popular sections from 6mm to 25mm in boxes containing length of 10m or in coil form by meter or 1/2.5 kilograms. Also supplied as split pre-formed rings and ring sets. Special size and lengths available on request.
